The Found Cottage Mercantile + Shops In Grand Rapids, Michigan
This past weekend I had the chance to attend The Found Cottage Mercantile. I was invited to tag along with my friends at Farmhouse Frocks which I'm so thankful for! I couldn't turn down an invite to see this show and start my birthday weekend off right! We left Thursday afternoon and headed northwest to Grand Rapids, Michigan. That evening when we arrived, we ate at The Old Goat. The most amazing food and chill atmosphere. The fries- OMG. SO good!!
Friday morning we rose and had the morning to go around to some cute shops before the Mercantile show started. We started by visiting The Found Cottage, which did not disappoint! Liz, Abby and Lisa do an amazing job making the place feel so at home. The store had a combination of old vintage finds and new farmhouse treasures.
It was like walking through my Instagram dreams. I've seen so many photos of the shop through Instagram that I had to pinch myself because it was so much more beautiful seeing it in person! Everything was beyond words and I wish we had a moving trailer because I wanted to take everything home!
Next, we made a few antique shop stops around the area. Another great store, very close to The Found Cottage was Painted Farm Girl. They had some great farmhouse style goodies and I picked up some cute Rae Dunn kitty food bowls for our Peaches. I also snagged this adorable Garden sign that's below!
After shopping around, it was finally time for the Mercantile show! We were all so excited to see all the goodies but a highlight was for sure meeting sweet Liz Marie herself! Let me tell ya what... if you think she's sweet on social media, she's even better in person! So down to earth and we all agreed that we felt like we've known her for years. I was fan-girlin' without a doubt!!
The show was without a doubt a success! So many great vendors, great food and amazing fall-like weather. At the end of this blog, I shared what my big birthday purchase for the weekend was and you'll love it! Check out some of these beautiful displays! My only regret is not taking my real camera so I could share more with you all on here!!
We ended the busy shopping day with a stop by Maria Catrib's. The cutest little bistro that had such scrumptious food! I snuck home one of their Blueberry Lemon Cupcakes for my birthday too!
Saturday morning came around and we planned to do a little more shopping before we headed back home to Ohio. First stop- Bluedoor Antiques. There are no words for this place. If you like all things white and chippy- this is a must stop! They had amazing architecture pieces, french country chandeliers and beautiful salvaged pieces! Crazy beautiful shop as you can see below! I even had to take a selfie there!
After some antique and shop hopping, we had lunch at a local favorite. Brewery Vivant is a pub that is located in an old chapel! Such a neat place and THEE best Duck Nachos! A must have when eating there! After our bellies were full, we headed quick to Rebel Reclaimed. A small little paper-goods and quirky gift store. I snagged some small jewelry pieces and the FHF girls surprised me with the sweetest birthday gifts!
The last thing I want to share with y'all is my birthday gift to myself that I bought at the mercantile show! Look at these amazing corbels! I have the perfect place for them in an upcoming project that I can't wait to share with you guys!! They're so large and have the perfect detailing on them.
That was our Michigan trip in a nut shell! I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog about our favorite spots to hit up while in Grand Rapids! We had a perfect getaway and I am so, so thankful that Lena and the girls invited me to go along. Many great memories and conversations took place.
