Spare Bathroom Final Reveal

The bathroom reveal has been a long time coming but I'm so tickled to finally show you guys how this room turned out! With our claw foot tub, sparkling antique chandelier and marble detailing... I think you'll fall in love with it, too! 

Before we dive in, don't be astonished when you see a new taupe color that spans the walls. In our shower reveal blog here, you would have seen the blue paint color. A few months ago, I was eager for something more warm and calming so the gorgeous blue walls got repainted. Let's take a quick peek at where this bathroom started and progressed from...

I decided to go with Benjamin Moore's "Eagle Rock" to cover over the BM "Mysterious" blue. I instantly fell in love with how the chocolate milk taupe contrasted with the brass and old elements in this bathroom. The new color is calming and warm- just as desired, too. When you first walk into the bathroom, you're greeted with many old treasures that were found over many years that fit perfectly with the new elements.

Opposite side of the cabinet doors, I hung two found hooks to hold our towels to dry. I love that these antique hooks also match the larger brass towel hook by the sink. Any time that I'm out and about antiquing- if I stumbled across old hardware, I have to snatch it up. There's just something so special about those small unique details.

 If you can remember back awhile ago, I frosted the door glass on all our doors for privacy. Making this bathroom door a pocket door not only saved us space but the hidden doors makes for a surprising uncovering when closing the door. You can find all the door details here when we brought them into the farmhouse for the first time.

 I snagged this super long wood mirror from our shoppe (we had it in our bathroom there, too) so that it would draw your eye up to meet the chrome pendants that flank the mirror. Above the toilet, I hung a antique gold painting to pull all the brass accents together.

I'm so smitten with how this bathroom turned out. I love the mixture of old and new in this space. Every time I take a soaking in the clawfoot tub, I'm thankful for the new taupe color and all the fine details that went into making this bathroom special.
