Farmhouse Mantel at The Flat

Fall has officially hit the Flat y’all! I’ve talked about it a bit on my IG stories but I’m trying to refine my style at our vacation rental. It’s semi-hard to describe what I’m wanting but my vision for this space is a bit more urban farmhouse… but a tad more authentically old farmhouse. I really want this space to be a story of my husband and I’s passions.

Back in September we traveled to
The Found Cottage Mercantile show in Michigan where I snagged this gorgeous white chippy mantel from A Rustic Mess. As soon as I saw this mantel, I knew it had to come home with us to the flat to make its way to the dining room.

I love the depth the mantel adds to this large wall and with the pops of the amber bottles, it’s the perfect addition for the seasonal vignettes. The Thanks scroll centered above it for a humble reminder. I’m. In. Love.

Isn’t it a pretty authentic touch? This mantel was a great addition and one step closer to the way I envision the flat.
