DIY Shiplap Bedroom Wall- Cheap!
Happy Monday friends! It's time to kick off a project that took place while my husband was away on a trip this past week. While the husband is away, the wife will play. . . right?! This project took place in our bedroom and this space is slowly turning into the vision I wished for.
So to start off, I wanted to shiplap the main wall our bed lays against. I loved the idea of shiplapping because it offers a nice soft texture to a space without making the space feel too busy or awkward. The room also felt "not finished". . . until now!
I followed Jenna Sue Design Co's DIY shiplap wall steps HERE. Basically, taking quarter inch plywood for about $13 a sheet at Lowes and cutting them down into 6" or 8" strips. I went with an 8" strip to make the space feel larger! I love the outcome and when my husband returned from his trip, he mentioned how much larger the wall felt!
I finished off the wall in Sherwin Williams, Stone Isle. A soft greige color perfect for calming. It took about 3.5, 8x4' sheets from Lowes, bottoming out the project budget at roughly under $100 with a gallon of paint.
Tell me what you guys think below!
